The Cyber Security Operational Manager, which we call Operational Security Manager (OSM), helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by providing front-line technical security services to ensure that Guide Dogs’ information and technology assets are safeguarded against a wide range of security threats.

The OSM is responsible for Guide Dogs’ security operations function, delivering a range of services including, but not limited to, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, security monitoring and alerting, intrusion detection, penetration testing and leading our response to cyber security incidents.

For this role you’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Essential

• Significant experience in a similar role OR A strong track record in operational security roles with a demonstrable commitment to continual professional development.
• Professional information security and technical certifications e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, MCSA, SSCP, CEH and/or CREST CPSA / CRT.
• An incident response/management certification e.g. CREST CPIA / CRIA, EC Council CIH and GIAC CIH
• Hands-on experience managing SIEM and SOC solutions, log correlation and other advanced threat detection solutions. Microsoft Sentinel experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience securing a Microsoft Azure and 365 environments.
• Overseeing security services delivered by third party suppliers.
• Hands-on experience configuring, scheduling and conducting vulnerability scans.
• Experience securing network infrastructure such as Cisco, Palo Alto and Meraki.
• Leading the response to security incidents and managing them to conclusion.
• Working to tight deadlines whilst preserving quality and accuracy.
• Building and maintaining strong collaborative technology partnerships.
