We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR Team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is 21 hours per week, and we are open to discussions on how these would be worked across Monday – Friday. With hybrid working arrangements, there’s flexibility to work in a way that is best for you, with at least 1 to 2 days working alongside the Payroll Team at our Reading Hub in Burghfield.

 

The Payroll Specialist helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by processing payroll transactions, reconciling accounts, ensuring HMRC compliance, managing third-party payments, and maintaining financial controls. Candidate profile

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Professional payroller with experience in all aspects of payroll with a demonstrated history in payroll accounting.
  • Proven experience in running payrolls from start to finish including financial reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience in calculating payroll manually and able to comply with all HMRC requirements.
  • Knowledge of P11D reporting requirements and the administration of benefits and the tax and NI implications.
  • Administration of salary sacrifice and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure using own initiative and as a team player.
