Are you a qualified Habilitation Specialist who is passionate about empowering children and young people with vision impairment to live independently and confidently? Join Guide Dogs and make a meaningful difference in the North West.
You’ll play a pivotal role in assessing the unique needs and capabilities of children and young people with vision impairments. You’ll create tailored, person-centred training programs to help them build mobility, independence, and the skills they need to thrive in their daily lives ensuring they are supported every step of the way.

Candidate profile
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Qualified as a Habilitation Specialist – please refer to the qualification criteria within the attached Job Description
- Post-qualification experience in statutory or voluntary sectors
- Experience teaching mobility and independence skills to individuals with vision impairment in home, education, or community settings
- Experience of supporting children and young people (not necessarily vision impairment related)
- Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role (valid UK driving licence or alternative arrangements)
