This role is office-based but the location of this is flexible.


The Salesforce QA Test Engineer helps those with sight loss to live the life they choose by being the gatekeeper of quality configuration, customisation, and data for our Digital Transformation project across our Salesforce platform.

As a manual QA Test Engineer working in an Agile environment across a large and complex Salesforce organisation you will be key to ensuring that all Salesforce change is optimised to the very highest quality. Responsibilities will include formulating and executing test cases, managing test data, and supporting colleagues in the execution of Business Acceptance Testing. 

You’ll also be hands-on in utilising defect tracking software (Jira) and manually testing all changes on the Salesforce platform. You’ll work closely with developers, Salesforce Admin, and our Project Implementation team to ensure effective communication, coordination and feedback.


This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year. As a charity, we’re always keen to support flexible working as best we can. Candidate profile

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;


• Experience in creating/Implementing Test Cases, Plans, Scripts etc.
• Experience with using Jira, or other Test Management tools, during the test execution.
• Experience of large-scale Salesforce implementations.
• Business Acceptance Testing best practice.
• Good knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle and Methodologies.
• Ability to design, write and execute manual tests on the salesforce platform.
• Good interpersonal skills / friendly and approachable, strong facilitation skills.
• Demonstrable ability to work in a remote team.


• Defining Test Strategies for functional and non-functional testing.
• Experience working in the non-profit sector.
• Agile accreditations.
