The Solutions Architect helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by designing Technology Solutions to support the strategic and tactical aims across the organisation, enabling the delivery of the wider organisational and technology strategy.

For this role you’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This is a homebased role with the option to attend your closest Guide Dogs office.

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;
Essential
- Practitioner-level certification in Solution Architecture (chartered or other well-recognised)
- Specialisation in Solution Architecture on Azure/AWS/Google Cloud and/or Hybrid Cloud Architectures
- Experience of working with large-scale Cloud-based Integration designs involving Paas/SaaS/IaaS architectures
- In-depth knowledge of Web Architecture Designs and Integration patterns
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and a confident communicator and presenter
- Highly organised and able to prioritise the Solution Architecture pipeline of work based on Project and BAU needs.
Desirable
- Computing-related qualifications with a focus on Architecture Patterns
- Experienced in Web Architectures involving CMS Platforms such as Sitecore/ Umbraco/Contentful/Netlify and UI JS Frameworks such as React, Angular
- Good understanding of Architecture and Design Principles of Mobile App Development
