The Trusts Executive helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by generating income through the implementation of the Trusts and Foundations strategy and annual plans to support the delivery of the Guide Dogs overall strategy.


This is an excellent entry into the world of fundraising and philanthropy and partnerships. The successful post-holder will coordinate and develop a portfolio of small to medium sized trusts and foundations and generate and grow income from grant giving organisations.


This role is 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with 26 days paid holiday (excluding bank holidays) a year.


For this role, there may be opportunities to work from home as well as the office.

Candidate profile

To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;



· A-level educated or equivalent (QCF level 3 / SQCF levels 6-7)

· Charity and fundraising experience

· Demonstrable experience of networking and relationship building.

· Demonstrable experience of achieving or exceeding income targets.

· Solid understanding of the principles of trust fundraising.

· Working knowledge of fundraising databases.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, at all levels.

· Strong writing skills and demonstrable creative skills.

· Persuasive, flexible, enthusiastic, well-organised.



· Proven experience in a trust fundraising role.

· Demonstrable experience of writing bids/applications or creative writing.

· Understanding of the needs of blind and partially sighted clients and colleagues.

· Database management
